Introduction
There
is a simple, step-by-step and systematic
approach to writing brilliant reports, proposals and staff
papers every time; and you’ll learn how to write them, in our
two-day course, even if you have never written a single report in
your life. The alternative is to learn the skill by trail and error;
which might take years.
Why
a 2-day Course ?
I
don’t want to just ‘tell’ you what reports are; I want to
train you to write them so it has to be done over two days.
What
you will learn :
In
my 2-day course, I am going to cover everything I learned and used
about report writing, from my 10 years service as a staff officer in
the army and more than 16 years as a trainer in Business
Communication. (I am convinced that nowhere else, other than the SAF,
do we write so many reports. It is just part of the culture that
even junior officers have to learn to ‘put up papers’. As a
result we become ‘experts’.)
I
will cover the following in enough detail; so that you do not ever
have to attend another course on the subject:
·
Writing
Concept Papers
·
Writing
Progress Reports
·
Writing
Investigative Reports
·
Writing
Proposals
·
Writing
Staff Papers
Everything
you learn in the course will be applicable, perhaps with a little
adaptation, to any working environment.
How
you will learn :
I
will talk for less than 30 percent of the time. You will be writing,
usually in groups for 70 percent of the time. By the end of the
course, you would have written at least:
·
One
Report
·
One
Proposal
·
One
staff Paper
Relax!
I will be there to guide you step by step. Even if you walk in as a
beginner, you will walk out as an expert.
Duration
: 2 day
Who
should attend:
·
Any
executive or anyone who intends to be an executive or who wants to
rise to Management one day.
